VELVET MEADOW
Heavily influenced by 1960s music to modern psychedelic sounds from across the pond, Velvet Meadow is a passionate project led by Kris Hieronimus – a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and DIY producer from Jacksonville, Florida. With obscure instruments like electric sitars and vintage keyboards, Velvet Meadow transports listeners into a Pink Floyd-esque world filled with psychedelic, seductively funky, and boldly experimental sounds. Dreamy flower-garage vibes blend with heavy psychedelic rock anthems.
His recently released album, "Never Wanna Leave My Head," spans over 60 minutes of psych-pop. It features swirling guitars, resonant synthesizers, ethereal vocals, and echoing drums - inspired heavily by records he was listening to at the time, including The Beatles' "The Magical Mystery Tour," MGMT's "Congratulations," and Pond's "The Weather“. Just two weeks after its release, he followed up with the single "Say So." The ambitious artist is currently immersed in creating his new album, which he describes as his most significant and ambitious project yet.
Amidst this work, he plans to release a series of songs from his extensive backlog as well as spontaneous creations often conceived within a day – such as the track "It's My Fault," dropped spontaneously on his birthday this year, and the current single "Say So." With such tracks already under his belt, anticipation is high for what Velvet Meadow will deliver next in album form.
